Eddie Johnson:
Eddie is a University of Illinois graduate and Chicago native. He played in the NBA for 17 years for Kansas City/Sacramento, Phoenix, Seattle, Charlotte, Indiana, Denver and Houston. He is currently entering his 11th season as the color analyst on the Phoenix Suns television broadcasts with Tom Leander. Eddie was a second-round pick (No. 29) by the Kansas City Kings in 1981, and spent six years with the Kings organization before he was traded to the Phoenix Suns in 1987, where he played for three seasons helping the Suns improve to a 55-27 record in his first season with the team. Eddie has the distinction of being the NBA’s all time leading scorer among players with no All Star appearances (19,202 points). Eddie was instrumental in preparing Eddie House of the World Champion Boston Celtics for his entrance into the NBA. Eddie also is a writer for the popular website Hoops Hype. Frank Johnson:
Frank graduated from Wake Forest University in 1981 where he was an All-American. He was drafted in the first round by the Washington Bullets (now Wizards) and was named to the NBA All Rookie Team in 1982. In 1988, Frank was traded to the Houston Rockets, where he played one season before he headed to Europe to play in Italy and France for three seasons. After playing in Europe, Frank signed with the Phoenix Suns where he played from 1992 to 1994. He was given the name “4th Quarter Frank” by Al McCoy because he played a key role as the team made the 1993 NBA Finals against the Chicago Bulls. Frank started his coaching career in 1997 as an Assistant Coach for the Phoenix Suns, where he was in charge of game preparation and scouting report. In 2002 Frank became the Head Coach of the Phoenix Suns and the team made playoffs in 2002-2003 season, during his first full season as Head Coach. Under his leadership, Shawn Marion and Stephon Marbury developed into All Stars and Amare Stoudemire was named Rookie of the Year.
Frank was instrumental in the developmental and growth of Jerryd Bayless, a University of Arizona guard, who was recently drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the 2008 NBA Draft.
